Secure Exports

An export collects connection details for active mailboxes in a format supported by your account.

You can prepare an export for:

• One person
• One team or client
• A selected set of mailboxes
• Mailboxes matching the filters you choose

Protect exported credentials

Some exports contain mailbox passwords. Message Science encrypts these files at rest, limits how long they remain available, and checks that the person downloading them is authorized.

After downloading a file:

• Store it only in an approved secure location.
• Share it only with people or services that need the credentials.
• Delete local copies after the mailboxes are connected.
• Create a new export instead of forwarding an old file.
